What products are available in your store?

A –

We carry a full line of Archery, Fishing and Hunting Supplies. We also carry dog supplies and we are a Carhartt Concept store with a full line

of men's clothing.

Can I return Ammunition?

A -

No, we do not accept the return of ammunition.

Q -

Can I return a Firearm?

A -

A firearm is not returnable. Once it has been purchased we have logged it out of our ATF Log books and if it is returned it is no longer a new

gun. It’s kinda the same as transferring a title on an automobile.

Q -

What if I buy a firearm and it doesn't work?

A -

Occasionally a firearm comes from the factory with a problem or develops one the first time out. We will assist you with any problem you may have after the purchase. If you take it out to shoot (the first time out) and it does not work we will assist with the manufacturer’s repair and if necessary (at the manufacturer's discretion) replacement of the firearm.

What is your return policy on other products?

ALL returns must be in the original unopened package in NEW UNUSED condition with the original purchase receipt. No returns will be accepted beyond 30 days of purchase.

Do you have a frequent buyer program?

A -

Our program “MACE MERITS” rewards our customers for purchases of Non-firearm purchases. Although Merits are only credited for Non-firearm purchases the reward certificates are good for the purchase of any item in our store including firearms.

Can you stay open late or can you wait for us to arrive after hours?

A -

We are often asked if we can stay open late or wait for a customer that is running late. It is not that we don't care there are reasons that we don't do this. For security reasons we close on time - the highest crime time is at closing. We are a small business and we employ a small staff that works 40 hours a week. It is our company policy to treat them as we would like to be treated and not ask them to stay beyond their scheduled quitting /closing time. They work until 6PM and can't possibly get home before 6:15-6:30 so dinner is at 7:00PM at best so getting them out and on their way at closing time is very important and we appreciate your understanding. It takes at least 20min to process a gun sale so please try to make your final purchase decision no later than 30min before close of business.

Do you accept firearms on Trade?

A -

Yes, we take firearms on trade if it is something we have a market for.

Do you accept firearms on Consignment?

A -

Yes, we take firearms for Consignment.

Do I need a Purchase Permit to purchase a Firearm?

A -

For a handgun you need either a Purchase Permit issued by the Sheriff in the county in which you live or a North Carolina Carry Concealed Weapon permit. For a long gun purchase you do not need a permit but if you have a current permit the NICS call-in is waived.

Can I have you transfer a firearm purchased in another states or areas?

A -

Yes, we will transfer any firearm that we don’t carry or can’t order for you.

How much do you charge for the transfer of firearms?

A -

We charge $50.00 per transaction.

Do you match prices we find online?

A -

Sometimes we can if it is the same model and same condition. But sometimes we just can't do it. One thing to remember is the folks online are simply mailing a firearm, no ATFE paperwork and no NICS call in and no liability related to the sale.

If you don’t have a product in your inventory that I want can you order it?

A -

Yes, we can special order anything that is available from the manufacturer or distributor.

When do I pay for a special order?

A -

All special order items are to be paid for prior to the order being released for shipment.

Can you give me an idea what the value of my firearm is over the phone?

A -

Because there are different make, model and conditions which all determine the value, we have to physically see them in order to appraise them.

Do you have a gunsmith at Mace Sports?

A -

No, we do not have a gunsmith.

Do you ship Firearms?

A -

Yes we ship Firearms to FFL Dealers.

How long have your been in business?

A -

We started our firearms business in 1984 part-time as The Gun Room, Inc. Over the years thanks to our loyal customers we have grown. In April 2002 we moved into our new building where we are today and soon thereafter (for business reasons) we changed our name to Mace Sports, Inc.
